Karen is passionate about music of different genres, from folk to classical to musicals to pop. As well as teaching, Karen writes children's books and musicals for schools. Pupils can follow varied pathways into music with Karen:
Exams with ABRSM* syllabus, Trinity Guildhall or Rock School, according to the needs of the pupil.
Theory exams can be taken, as well as practical.
Non exams, following a structured pathway of learning, but without the pressure of exams.
*ABRSM = Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music

Pupils from 6 to 106 years of age welcome!
Learning a new musical skill can be a brilliant way to keep active and challenge your mind, as you get older.
Availability:
- Lessons available after school, Monday to Thursday from 3.30pm.
- Lessons available during the day from 9.30am onwards on a Monday, Tuesday.
Where does Karen Teach?
Karen prefers to teach using the specialist music room at her home teaching studio in Strensall, near York, where she had a wealth of resources to hand.
